This microwave looks nice on the counter, if you keep a polishing rag nearby to remove your fingerprints after each use. However, the window is very tinted and has so much protective screening that you can't see if your beverage or soup has started boiling. It might as well not have a window. It is deeper, wider, and taller by about 2" in each dimension than the cheaper microwave it is replacing, though the turntable is exactly the same size. It is also a lot noisier. This is the first time I've owned a microwave w/ a stainless case, which may transmit the fan and motor sounds more than plastic cases do, idk. The beeps it makes when you set it and when it's done cooking are also loud.
Poor pre-sets: The auto reheat ; cook functions have instructions hidden in an interior sticker. These pre-programmed functions are all just different times at high power, instead of programmed to heat items through optimally by combining different stages at different power levels--not much help. They also mostly aren't long enough to do the job. As for the power--brand-new it takes around 2-1/2 minutes to boil a cup of water.
But as I get used to its quirks and adjust the timings manually, it does do the job and looks pretty good for the price.
Will look for a Whirlpool next time, I think.
Good user interface: my most common use (cook at full power for a time) is really easy, usually with a single button push. Fairly powerful, so foods heat quickly.
Annoyance: the turntable sometimes makes an unpleasant clattering sound.
