I bought this for my new kitchen renovation. I was getting rid of the huge vent above the stove and wanted a nice place for a microwave that would vent. You can use it to vent up and out, or it can recycle the air and let it flow back in the room. I'm using it for the latter. The fan is very loud, I find, but not so bad that I wouldn't use it. The microwave is nice and has a lot of nice features on it like quick start (also known as Add 30 Seconds). I would recommend it. You probably won't find a better one for a price like this.
My husband ; I recently purchased this microwave and it is such an upgrade from our previous one! I don't want to go through all of the features, but for a microwave, it pretty much works like it is supposed to. It heats food...can't expect any more really. A couple of reviewers have mentioned the noisy fan, but to me, it's typical of an over the range microwave. I read a review, somewhere else I believe, and the commenter stated that you could barely hold a conversation while the fan was going. Not even true!
